Re-authorisation

A Reauthorization is a subsequent purchase transaction made following the original purchase. It is typically used to account for changes in the transaction that occur after the initial charge.

Common Scenarios Requiring Reauthorization:

Extended Stays: In hospitality, when a guest extends their stay beyond the original booking.

Extended Rentals: For car or equipment rentals that go beyond the initially agreed rental period.
